Still Alive

Plans

I'm finally settling on doll plans.  Oe & Tobin (Iplehouse Ashanti & Bichun) are definates, and Oe is going to end up with more shoes than I own myself at this rate as well!! I also want two BID twins (Bordy & Aki) Kwame & Zanta - so many plans for them!!   Will I ever buy dolls from anywhere other than Iplehouse again? Who knows its going to cost me nearly about $2000 for all them and their wigs/shoes etc anyway....ah this is why its called a "wishlist".

McStress

I've only got 22 days left to complete my honours project and it seems like there is so much to do.  *cries*  Why am I blogging in the middle of the night then you ask?  Too scared to face tomorrow.  Got a good bit of my dissertation written tonight and my coutil patterns carded with boning placement but it just seems to be taking longer than it should and I'm super worried.  Dolls are the only thing keeping me sane right now because my friends are acting like insensitive shits.  Wish I wasn't poor so I could cheer myself up with some Iple buys...

Decisions

I spent last night cleaning Delphi & Rogan to put up for sale until I ran out of the face-up & blushing remover.  Will need to get more tomorrow.

Been rather unproductive in uni work but at the same time, there's not a GREAT deal left to do...I keep trying to convince myself of that, but in honesty there's still a lot to go.

I've decided just to get Oe & Tobin and to not bother with Robel or Terrence.  Robel is lovely but a bit too odd to really fit any of my characters properly.  Terrence - I've invented a char just for him and really I think I'd get bored of him sooner because of it.  I re-read all I've written so far of the story involving Oe & Tobin and love them more than ever now!!  I've decided as well that Oe will remain IH Ashanti and Tobin will be IH Bichun.  So I've inquired about his eyes and I really want this wig for Tobin:

I want it in black but can only find it in blonde, red and brown.  Anyone know of a black short style wig like this?  It needs to be size 9-10".

Matted Rat

Var's wig is a matted rat and it makes me sad.  I think its stopping me loving him as much.  Now someone please give me monies for a new wig? :D Pretty please?

Doll Plans

I'm going to sell a lot of my dolls.  I'll admit I've spent a long time away from the dolly world and I have missed it terribly!! But now that I'm back into the swing of resin things so many of my dolls just don't seem amazing to me anymore.  I feel like I can't connect with them. :(  It makes me sad but I think its best just to cut my losses and sell the majority of them and then replace them with new characters.  I've spent so long trying to fit everyone into one big story which never had room for them all.  Now I'm planning to bring some of my characters from multiple other writings I've done to resin life.

I only plan to keep (at the moment): Lucien (MD Miho/AOD Hybrid); Sophie (Narae 43cm); Var (RML M-10/DZ Mini Hybrid), Apnea (Currently just a head - Dollstown Estella) and Alinde (CH Bisou Bonbon)

I have to admit I'm not even excited about Var right now *Fee hits me* But I think I'll come back round to him more easily.

So I'll soon be selling my Soulkid Harang Boy, AR LF Dana Girl, Ninodoll Namu head, Chiwoo modded head, Shiwoo modded head, Ninodoll Momo head, I think a Wintery head and I don't know if there's anyone else off the top of my head.

I do have a CH LJ Mars and Meeloo in transit along with a CH Ange Gaby so I'll be deciding on them once they're here.  I know they're good sizes to have though for commissions/sales and I have wanted Mars forever (seriously like...first doll I ever loved)

I plan to get Iplehouse Ashanti, (Oe) and her lovely man Tobin (Between Bichun & Evan), Baxter (DIM Robel) and Tobias (DIM Terrence).

Tobias isn't even a character really...I just want Terrence cos he's weird and creepy. (In actually I love the name and so have tons of characters called Tobias, but none who fit who this one will be...oh look need to write a new story!)

I will likely get a bunch of tinies mainly cos the clothing market is booming for tiny stuff right now.  But will prob make do with my Ange and Bisou for a bit, though I'd love a Pukifee Ante.

Okay, moving onto the definate Oe (IH Ashanti) I want to get her a straighter wig, so I can style it and tie it up (while she's 'working') and a curly wig, which is like her more dressed up look.



Which of the last two should I get for Oe?

Potential Boys

My beloved Frapzilla suggested I look at Iplehouse for boys since I seem to have a love obession of late with Iplehouse (its mainly just Ashanti cos she looks like Rihanna/a little bit like me)

Anyway, I looked through various companies and whittled down to the top 12.  I'm not sure exactly how many heads I'm really wanting right now, it all depends on what bodies I get/who I sell and keep.  Here are the potential boys:

L -> R
Top row: Iplehouse Bichun, Kamau, Evan, Leeke Jereme
Middle row: Leeke Joshua, Romeo, Adolf, Lionel
Last row: Migidoll Cho, DIM Robel, Terrence, Dollmore Sion Yoon

At the moment the ones who stand out to me the most are Bichun, Evan, Joshua (though he looks a little too young perhaps?), Robel, Terrence and Sion Yoon.  I love the realism of the Iplehouse boys but Terrence, Joshua & Robel's mouths are to die for.  I like how Sion Yoon is quite manly and sculpted.

New Blog!

Welcome to Shrunk Studios!! This blog will change a fair bit I think in the next few days so bear with me while I find my feet.  Will be selling some dolls soon too and having a re-shuffle.  There are a lot of new dolls I want - I've been away from the hobby for a while and I've fallen out of love with most of my dolls.  I will be posting up some pics of those who are for keeps soon but I'm super busy right now with my final year of uni, so don't expect frequent posts until about May/June!

I'm looking at getting lots of tinies as well for making/selling clothes but by god I want Ashanti sooooo much, she's absolutely amazing!! I'm also looking for more SD and above sized boys as there's specific bodies I want but I've not got any heads in mind.  Please suggest any SD head sculpts which look masculine, don't have noses which are too pointy & look a bit unusual if you know any!!
